Royal Princess is the lead ship of Princess Cruises' Royal class and, at her 2013 delivery, was the largest vessel ever built for the line and briefly its flagship. Spanning roughly 142,700 GT and 330 m, she introduced the signature 'SeaWalk' — glass-floored walkways cantilevered out over the ship's sides — plus a dancing-fountain show and a large poolside movie screen. She was named in Southampton in June 2013 by Catherine, Princess of Wales. She was among the first passenger ships built to modern 'safe return to port' standards and sails the Caribbean, Alaska, Mexican Riviera and Australia/South Pacific.
