Grand Princess is the lead ship of Princess Cruises' Grand-class, and at her 1998 launch she was briefly the largest and most expensive passenger ship ever built. The roughly 107,500-GT vessel carries about 2,600 guests at double occupancy and was christened by Gone with the Wind actress Olivia de Havilland. Her original aft 'Skywalkers' disco perched over the stern was removed in a major 2011 refit that also added the Piazza atrium and adults-only Sanctuary sundeck. She sails Alaska, Mexican Riviera, Caribbean and Australia/South Pacific itineraries.
