Luxury travel agency cooperative Signature Travel Network has named former Norwegian Cruise Line executive Damian Borg to a newly created role of general manager for Australia and New Zealand. The network, which has grown to more than 90 member agency locations across the two markets since the pandemic, says the appointment gives it a full-time regional leadership presence and that Borg will drive growth and build out a market-specific luxury cruise programme. Borg previously led sales strategy across Australia, New Zealand and Asia at NCL, with earlier senior roles at Globus, Club Med, Virgin Australia and APT.
Signature Travel Network, a US-based luxury travel agency cooperative, has appointed Norwegian Cruise Line veteran Damian Borg as general manager for Australia and New Zealand — a newly created position intended to establish a full-time leadership presence in the region.
The network says it has grown to more than 90 member agency locations across Australia and New Zealand since expanding internationally after the pandemic. Borg, who has more than 35 years in travel and tourism, will oversee growth strategy across the region, strengthen local relationships and establish and expand a luxury cruise programme built for the market.
Borg most recently held senior sales and strategy roles at NCL covering Australia, New Zealand and Asia, and previously worked with the Globus family of brands, Club Med, Virgin Australia and APT Travel Group. He is expected to attend Signature's 2026 conference in Orlando in November. The cooperative counts more than 300 agencies and 15,000 travel advisors worldwide, including members in New Zealand.
