Government and industry launch cruise comeback push

With bookings sliding, government agencies and the cruise sector are building a plan to rebuild New Zealand's appeal, targeting the port fees, biosecurity levies and compliance costs that have made it one of the region's most expensive stops. Customs forecasts passenger volumes stabilising and returning to modest growth from 2026/27.
